Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a good fit?

Adults who want thoughtful medication care, whether you’re starting from scratch or you’re already stable and just need ongoing management (ex, renewing an SSRI like Lexapro). If your regimen is working, I’m happy to keep it working, while staying attentive to safety, side effects, and long-term plan.

Do I need to bring anything to my first visit?

Bring what you can, don’t stress if it’s not perfect. Helpful items: Medication list: current + past trials Prior records: recent notes, labs, diagnoses, past treatment plans. ADHD records (if applicable): prior diagnosis/treatment documentation is required for stimulant consideration.

How do we connect for our session?

We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video link through the Tebra Patient Portal. You’ll get a link via text or email, just click and join from your browser; no app download needed.

Do you prescribe controlled substances?

Yes, with a strict safety-first telehealth policy. Stimulants may be prescribed for ADHD with appropriate records or a confirmed comprehensive evaluation. Benzodiazepines are PRN only (no daily/long-term use). A urine drug screen is required, and all decisions are made case-by-case based on safety and evidence, never guaranteed due to past use.

Do you complete FMLA, STD, ESA paperwork?

Yes, for established patients only, and only after fulfilling requirements that include additional fees.

Do I need "Individual" or "Integrated" care?

ndividual Care: focused psychiatric medication care for anxiety, ADHD, and depression. Integrated Care: for true dual-system cases where mental health and metabolic health are intertwined (disordered eating/restriction patterns, or psych + weight management).
